The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 and spreading shade 30 And water poured out 31 and fruit abounding, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 on raised couches. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 And made them virgins. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
