The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Terror descends 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
