The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 You will become three categories: 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Who will be honoured 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 like hidden pearls, 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And shade extended 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
