The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few from the latter. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water 31 and fruit abounding, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And raised couches. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And have made them virgins. 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
