The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 And made them virgins. 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
