Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A company of the former peoples 39 and a good many of later times. 40 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 41 They will live amid the scorching, 42 scalding water and under a shadow of black smoke, 43 neither cool nor good. 44 Verily they have been heretofore affluent. 45 and persisted in the Great Sin, 46 It was they who said, "Shall we be resurrected after we die and have turned into dust and bones? 47 And so will our fathers?" 48 Say: 'Those of ancient times and those of later times 49 will indeed be gathered together at a fixed time on an appointed Day. 50 "Then moreover, verily, you the erring-ones, the deniers (of Resurrection)! 51 you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit, 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 And upon it, you will drink the hot boiling water. 54 "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" 55 Such shall be your hospitality on the Day of Recompense. 56 We! it is We Who created you: wherefore confess ye not? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Did you create it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground. 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 [For,] were it Our will, We could indeed turn it into chaff, and you would be left to wonder [and to lament,] 65 crying, "We have been left to suffer loss. 66 nay; we have been undone!” 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Is it you who cause it to descend from the clouds, or do We? 69 If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)? 70 Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world). 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
