Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
