Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A crowd of earlier generations 39 And a multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the later times (generations). 40 The Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 41 mid burning winds and boiling waters 42 Under the shadow of thick black smoke 43 (That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good, 44 Before they lived at ease, 45 And they used to persist in the great violation, 46 And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 47 Will our ancient forefathers be resurrected too? 48 Say: 'The ancients, and the later folk 49 will be brought together for an appointment on an appointed day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit, 52 filling your bellies with it; 53 And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Do you create it, or We are its creator? 59 It was We who decreed death among you. We will not be surpassed 60 In the matter of exchanging you for others, and to transform you into what you do not know. 61 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? 62 Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil? 63 Is it you who cause them to grow or do We? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 “In fact, we were unfortunate!” 67 And have you seen the water that you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 And have you seen the fire that you ignite? 71 Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
