(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 He plunged the villages 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
