۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
