▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
