۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
