▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
