It is He who made the earth tame for you - so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision - and to Him is the resurrection. 15 Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you and suddenly it would sway? 16 Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning? 17 Those before them had also denied. And how was My punishment then! 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Or who is this that shall be a host for you to help you, apart from the All-merciful? The unbelievers are only in delusion. 20 Who is he that can provide for you, should He withhold His provision? Aye! they persists in perverseness and aversion. 21 Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path? 22 Say it is He Who has created you, and endowed you with hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and hearts. Little thanks you give. 23 Say thou: He it is Who hath spread you over the earth, and unto Him ye shall be gathered. 24 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled, if ye say sooth? 25 Say: 'The knowledge is with God; I am only a clear warner.' 26 But when they see it drawing near, the faces of those who deny the truth will turn gloomy and they will be told, "This is what you were calling for." 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say, "He is the Beneficent One in whom we have faith and trust. You will soon know who is in manifest error". 29 Say, "Have you not thought that if your water was to dry up, who would bring you water from the spring?" 30
