Al-Qalam 2 of 2
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall have with their Lord gardens of bliss. 34 Should We treat those who submit and obey in the same way as those who are culpable? 35 What is the matter with you then, how do you judge? 36 Or have you a book wherein you read, 37 and in which you find all that you may wish to find? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful 41 The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able,- 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm. 45 Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 46 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 47 Therefore wait for your Lord’s command, and do not be like the one of the fish; who cried out when he was distraught. (Prophet Yunus – peace be upon him.) 48 [And remember:] had not grace from his Sustainer reached him, he would indeed have been cast forth upon that barren shore in a state of disgrace: 49 But his Lord chose him as His Prophet and made him one of the righteous ones. 50 But the unbelievers would like to stare you out of balance when they hear the warning, and say: "Surely he is possessed;" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
