Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what do you know what that indubitable event is? 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them: 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Do you see any vestige left of them now? 8 Pharaoh likewise, and those before him, and the Subverted Cities -- they committed error, 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. 11 That We might make it unto you an admonition, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. 12 When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. 18 Then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'Here, take and read my book! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In high empyrean 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! 24 As for him whose Record will be given to him in his left hand, he will exclaim: “Would that I had never been given my Record, 25 “And had never come to know my account!” 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 and our belief has destroyed us". 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 Then into Hellfire drive him. 31 And string him to a chain seventy cubits long. 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. 34 So no friend has he here this Day, 35 Nor any food save filthy corruption. 36 Which none but the wrongdoers eat. 37
