So, I call to witness what you see 38 And what you do not see, 39 that this is the speech of an honourable Messenger, 40 and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet; 41 nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember). 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 Had he invented against Us any sayings, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 Then We would have cut from him the aorta. 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And indeed We know that some among you are deniers. 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 yet it is a certain truth. 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
