The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
