So I swear by whatsoever you see, 38 And what ye see not, 39 most surely, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would surely have seized him by the right hand, 45 And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart: 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And indeed this Qur’an is an advice for the pious. 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers. 50 for, verily, it is truth absolute! 51 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 52
