Noah (Nooh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." 1 He said, 'O my people, I am unto you a clear warner, 2 saying, "Serve God, and fear Him, and obey you me, 3 He will forgive you some of your faults and grant you a delay to an appointed term; surely the term of Allah when it comes is not postponed; did you but know! 4 He said: my Lord! Verily I have called my people night and day. 5 But the more I called, they only ran the farther away. 6 “And whenever I called them, so that You may forgive them, they always thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves with their clothes, and remained stubborn and were extremely haughty.” 7 “I then called them openly.” 8 Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly 9 Then I said, "Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Surely He is the most forgiving. 10 He will send down upon you the cloud, pouring down abundance of rain: 11 and will succour you with wealth and sons, and will appoint for you gardens, and will appoint for you rivers. 12 What is amiss with you that you do not look forward to the majesty of Allah 13 when He has created you in stages? 14 "'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another, 15 And has made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? 16 And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth, 17 then He shall return you into it, and bring you forth. 18 how God has spread the earth out for you 19 so that you may tread its spacious paths.” 20
