Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran, 1 that guides to the Right Path. We believe in it and we will not associate anyone with our Lord. 2 Exalted is the glory of our Lord; He has neither wife nor son. 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 'And verily, we thought that men and jinns would not utter a lie against Allah. 5 Yet [it has always happened] that certain kinds of humans would seek refuge with certain kinds of [such] invisible forces: but these only increased their confusion 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 Now that we have listened to the guidance, we believe in it. Whoever believes in his Lord does not need to fear loss or oppression. 13 ‘And that some among us are Muslims and some are the unjust; and whoever has accepted Islam – it is they who have thought rightly.’ 14 but as for those who have deviated, they have become firewood for Gehenna!"' 15 (And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance. 16 and tested them with it. And whosoever turns away from his Lord's Remembrance, He will hurl him into a stern punishment. 17 And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah: 18 Yet [thus it is] that whenever a servant of God stands up in prayer to Him, they [who are bent on denying the truth] would gladly overwhelm him with their crowds. 19
