28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord. 2 our Lord is too exalted to have either a wife or son. 3 "'And [now we know] that the foolish among us were wont to say outrageous things about God, 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 And persons among humankind have been seeking refuge with persons of the jinn, so that they increased them in evil disposition. 6 And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) - 7 We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames -- 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 "'And [now we have become aware] that we [created beings] may not know whether evil fortune is intended for [any of] those who live on earth, or whether it is their Sustainer's will to endow them with consciousness of what is right: 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.). 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Quran), we believed therein (Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins. 13 Some of us have surrendered (Muslims) and some of us have deviated. Those who surrendered sought the Right Path, 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Quran, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell). 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 and when Allah's servant stood up to call on Him, they well-nigh swarmed him. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
