Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner. 20 Say: 'Surely I possess no power over you, either for hurt or for rectitude.' 21 Say, "No one can protect me from God, nor can I find any place of refuge but with him. 22 My duty is only to convey that which I receive from Him and His messages." For those who disobey God and His Messenger there is the fire of hell, wherein they will abide forever. 23 When they are confronted by what they have been promised, they will realize who is weaker in helpers and fewer in numbers. 24 (Muhammad), say, "I do not know whether that with which you have been threatened is close by or whether my Lord will prolong the time of its coming. 25 He [alone] knows that which is beyond the reach of a created being's perception, and to none does He disclose aught of the mysteries of His Own unfathomable knowledge, 26 "Except a messenger whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him, 27 (Messenger) so that He would know that the Messengers have conveyed the message of their Lord. He encompasses all that is with them and He keeps a precise account of all things". 28
