The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And thine Lord magnify! 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 and flee from the statues! 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 And for the sake of your Lord, patiently endure. 7 When the Trumpet shall be sounded, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 Not of ease, for disbelievers. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 And then bestowed upon him ample means, 12 And gave him sons present before him. 13 And made (life) smooth for him. 14 Yet he desireth that I should give more. 15 Nay, verily, it is against Our messages that he knowingly, stubbornly sets himself 16 I shall force him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 For lo! he did consider; then he planned - 18 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! 19 May be then be accursed, how he plotted! 20 Then he thought; 21 frowned and scowled; 22 and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly 23 and said: “This (Qur'an) is merely a sorcery of yore; 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 I will soon fling him into hell. 26 and what will teach thee what is Sakar? 27 It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned], 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
