Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
