Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
