The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn! 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 Purify your inner self, 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 But for your Lord be patient. 7 Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 and children living in his presence, 13 And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably; 14 After all that he desires that I should give more; 15 By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory! 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then he considered [again]; 21 then he frowned and scowled, 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 this is nothing but the word of a mere mortal!” 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It leaves and spares no one and nothing. 28 It glows and burns the skin. 29 there are nineteen [angels] in charge of it -- 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
