The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O YOU ENFOLDED in your mantle (of reform), 1 Arise and warn, 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 And keep your clothes clean. 4 and shun uncleanness, 5 And bestow not favors that you may receive again with increase, 6 And for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 When the Trumpet is sounded, 8 So that is a tough day. 9 Dolorous for the unbelievers. 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 whom I have endowed with abundant riches, 12 And sons abiding in his presence 13 I made things smooth and easy for him, 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give yet more! 15 By no means! Verily he hath been unto Our signs a foe. 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 For he had thought and calculated. 18 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! 19 Again (self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! - 20 Then he looked, 21 Then he frowned and scowled, 22 Then he turned back and was big with pride, 23 Then he said: naught is this but magic from of old; 24 "This is nothing but the word of a human being!" 25 I will cast him into hell. 26 And what knoweth thou that which the Scorching Fire? 27 It neither spares, nor releases, 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen (guards). 30 And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Quran is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Quran is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allah intends by this (curious) example?" Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
