No! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
