No! By the moon 32 by the retreating night, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except those of the right hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
