Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
