Nay! By the moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 Warn the men. 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
