By no means! By the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 Warn the men. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
