No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
