By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until death approached us". 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
