NAY, but consider the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 From the guilty. 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
