Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About the criminals, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
