Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to humans, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About the criminals, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
