Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 Warn the men. 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
