Nay, by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 About the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 "And used to deny the Day of Justice." 46 Until the certainty had come upon us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
