No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
