Nay, by the Moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
