By the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to mortal man 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 From the guilty. 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
