Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
