Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
