Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
