Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
