Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
