Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon darkens 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
