Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
